A neat hack

Select some text — by depressing the left mouse button and dragging the mouse over the desired text. When you release the mouse button, a new window will pop up (unless you have popups blocked) with a Google search for the selected text.

Unfortunately, this only works on my actual blog website: Russ Abbott's Adventures in Blogland. It doesn't work if you are reading my blog though an aggregator such as Bloglines.
