Daniel Gross - Slate Magazine points out that according to the latest report from the Census Bureau on income, poverty, and health insurance … median household family income in 2008, at $50,303, was below where it was in 1998.The table on p 29 shows the 1998 median family income to be $51,295 compared to the 2008 figure of $50,303 as Gross notes.
